Safeguarding & Coaching Policies

Safeguarding & Policies

At SquiggleSpace, every individual’s wellbeing comes first. Creating a safe, nurturing space where minds can explore, grow, and feel celebrated is at the core of what I do.

Safeguarding Commitment

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility — and it’s central to my practice.
I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate, renewed regularly, I am also Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at an Alternative Provision.
I follow clear safeguarding policies and procedures in line with local authority and educational guidance.

If I ever have concerns about a young person’s safety or wellbeing, I take the appropriate steps to report and support, ensuring their protection remains the top priority.

Safeguarding isn’t just a policy — it’s a promise that SquiggleSpace will always be a safe, trusted environment for every person who walks through the door.

A full Safeguarding Policy is available on request.

Code of Conduct — Our Working Agreement

The SquiggleSpace community is built on respect, honesty, and kindness. This code of conduct helps us create the right environment for growth and reflection.

What I commit to:

  • Providing a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space.

  • Listening with empathy and curiosity.

  • Maintaining confidentiality, unless there’s a safeguarding concern or risk of harm.

  • Modelling respect and positive communication.

What I ask from clients:

  • To arrive on time and communicate if a session needs to be changed.

  • To treat the space, materials, and others with respect.

  • To engage openly and kindly, in a way that feels safe for you.

  • To celebrate progress — one squiggle at a time.

Service Agreement & Policies

Before beginning sessions, clients receive a Service Agreement outlining:

  • Session structure and support provided

  • Pricing and cancellation policy

  • Confidentiality and data protection

  • Safeguarding and duty of care

This ensures transparency and clear expectations for everyone involved.

All practice within SquiggleSpace aligns with relevant professional standards and data protection legislation (UK GDPR).
